 ed Sheeran

by your side

bohemian rhapsody

drunk face

My go to music is pop. what I would typically play on Spotify would be Ed Sheeran. I feel like I am always in the mood to listen to his songs and they make me feel good.  I like this song especially because its so beautiful. I also really like this song because it makes my full. I can listen to this song on repeat wherever I am or whatever mood I am in. I heard this song when it came in 2020 and I instantly loved the song. The sound is what drew me to feeling something towards the song.

This song has a meaningful message to me because through my hard times in life I need to always remember that god is by my side where ever and whenever. When I was little around 4 I would listen to this song on the radio. With christian songs in my opinion I have noticed that it is so easy to sing the song or simply hum it. When I was young I would sing it all the time when It would come on. This song is not also meaningful but it can comfort you and make you feel safe and is a delightful song to sing.

This song I don't connect with because it doesn't make sense for me . For me personally I need to understand the meaning and message. Although this song is good I can not find a connection because it is all over the place. Also it feels like random stuff is just being put in the song. Do not get me wrong thought the song is very up beat and an enjoyable song. On top of that I don't really listen to older songs I connect more with songs that are in the 2000's

A different category I am going to use is music that gets me pumped up. I would have to pick drunk face by Machine gun Kelly. when I am going to the gym or I am running I like to play this song. I like to play this song because rock tends to not be slow beat. rock has a up beat to it and it gets me just in the right mood to work out in. Also this song or rock songs in general wake me by the flow of the song or beat that plays within rock.

  1. I thought "By Your Side" was an interesting choice. The only religious based songs I know are Christmas songs :) I like that you can tie your religion into your musical culture. I think religion can be an important part of a person's morals and views, and the song definitely captures that. I definitely see a cultural significance to Christians, which is not a genre I previously considered when I started going through blogs!

  2. I love Ed Sheeran too! Pretty much any of his songs will get me up and dancing or singing the lyrics loudly and off-key. I am deeply saddened to hear that Bohemian Rhapsody wasn't a song you could vibe with, but I totally get it. The meaning (whether there is one, none, or multiple, I'll never know) is difficult to understand, and the song itself is so sporadic that it can be a bit much. Also, I am an avid MGK fan and am very excited to know that someone else is also likes his music :)

  3. I thought Ed Sheeran was an interesting choice for you. I would've never thought that would be one of your favorite songs. I personally like him myself. Also the Christian song you chose was amazing. When you explained how it makes you feel, I can really relate to that. Good job tho, I really liked it.

  5. I personally do not lil pop music of today just because in my eyes or should I say ears i think its all cheesy and its not my style at all but to each their own in music and taste I am not judging. I do enjoy the Christian song you put in the blog because I grew up in a church environment and I known that song for a while and its a great choice.
